PPT : The Role Of Regos In The Pension System

* In 1998 pension reform was put into effect by amending present and adopting new law regulations
* In 2000/2001 new institutions were founded:
o HAGENA – supervisory institution (now HANFA)
o REGOS – technical support to the II pillar pension insurance
* In 2002 reformed pension system started operating
* All employees under the age of 40
* Employees between 40 and 50 may participate
* Part-time jobs

REGOS Services
* Registration and change of membership
* Accepting and processing of R-Sm Form,
* Managing function of Central accounting (CAM)
* Managing and maintaining the Register

2. Accepting and Processing the RS-m Form

Basic purposes of the R-Sm Form:
* Data collecting on contributions for Obligatory pension insurances,
* Recording data into the Register
* Matching data to the related Pillar II and Pillar I payments of part-time jobs,
* Replacing the present 9 Forms by the R-S/R-Sm Form

3. Managing Central Accounting
* Transfering associated II pillar contribution payments to obligatory pension funds and societies,
* Converting paid savings into unit,
* Registering paid contribution amounts on personal accounts of fund’s members,
* Transfering total capitalized savings with the goal of achieving the rights from pension insurance
